We are pleased to welcome David Eads, Chief Executive Officer of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, as our June speaker.
David Eads has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® since February 2017, leading one of the nation’s most iconic and beloved New Year celebrations—the Rose Parade® and Rose Bowl Game®. At the helm of this non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, Eads provides strategic leadership for a year-round team of 35 professionals and works in close collaboration with the Tournament’s 935 volunteer members. In his role, Eads guides efforts across a broad range of areas including community relations, marketing and communications, finance, event operations, facilities, and strategic partnerships. He works alongside the Executive Committee to shape and execute the Tournament’s mission: to create world-class events that bring people together and deliver unforgettable experiences for participants, spectators, and the broader community. Before joining the Tournament, Eads spent 17 years in senior leadership at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, where he led a wide range of initiatives—from public policy and global programs to membership, marketing, and operations. His work helped elevate the Chamber's impact on both the local business community and the international stage. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Eads previously served as Executive Vice President of the Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau. There, he spearheaded marketing and sales initiatives, helped establish the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission, and launched the city’s first visitor information center. Eads holds both a BBA in Marketing and an MBA from Wichita State University.
